A softer way into fall

Fall has a way of inviting us to slow down, take a breath, and notice what we're carrying.

I created this short meditation as a little pause for the season ahead. A chance to let go of some of what's weighing on you and reconnect with what matters.

You can read along below, or listen to the recording and simply let yourself be guided.

Take a slow breath in.

And let it go.

Let your shoulders soften. Feel the surface beneath you, holding you up.

For these next few moments, there's nowhere else you need to be. Nothing you need to figure out.

Just let yourself arrive.

Imagine stepping outside on a cool autumn morning.

Feel the crisp air against your skin. Notice the soft light filtering through the trees. Hear the quiet rustle of leaves beneath your feet.

Some leaves are still clinging to the branches, bright with colour. Others have let go, settling gently onto the earth.

Take a moment to imagine yourself there.

Breathing in the cool air.

Feeling the ground beneath your feet.

Letting the world slow down around you.

And as you stand beneath the trees, consider what you've been carrying lately.

Perhaps it's an expectation you've placed on yourself. A responsibility that's become heavier than you imagined. A worry about what comes next.

You don't need to solve anything right now.

Just notice what comes to mind.

And imagine, for a moment, loosening your grip.

You don't have to hold everything so tightly.

Like the leaves, some things can be allowed to fall.

Take a breath.

And notice the space that opens.

What might you want to make room for?

Perhaps more time with someone you love. More moments that bring you joy. The freedom to do things differently. Or simply a little more room to breathe.

Let yourself linger with that feeling.

You may not know what the next season holds. None of us does.

But you can choose what you want to bring with you.

A value you want to stay close to. A part of yourself you want to nurture. A reminder of what matters when life gets busy again.

Take one last slow breath.

Feel the ground beneath you.

And when you're ready, gently return to the room around you.

You don't need to know what's next to honour what matters now. Let go of what no longer fits, make room for what feels right, and trust yourself to find your way. Carry forward what nourishes you. Leave the rest behind.

As fall settles in, I hope you find little moments to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and make choices that feel true to you.

Wishing you a cozy season, filled with warmth and a little breathing room.

Love,
Vesna
